WHAT'S IN HER BAG
Joy's essentials

1. This summer I've been
alternating between this Kate Spade
bag (which my husband gave me
for my birthday this year) and the Lotta
Jansdotter bag (shown in #4).
Both are smaller bags than I typically
use (ie. they're not made to fit over the
shoulder) but I'm trying to carry less
stuff around this summer and give my back
a much needed break.2. Small silk
pouch from Spoylt. I just love
the pattern on this and the silk makes
it feel so special. I use this to carry
around my business cards. 3. This Timolino
insulated bottle with infuser is
my new favorite thing. I drink tea a lot,
so it allows me to take my loose tea on
the go, and the built in filter keeps the
tea leaves contained in the bottom. This
one is small and light, it's perfect for
carrying around, but I wish I had gotten
a bigger one instead! 4. Lotta
Jansdotter Smykca bag - love her
work so it's nice to have a wearable version
of her great patterns. 5. My ipod,
Perfumeria Gal Lip Balm, sticky notes from Sabine
Brandt (a blog friend in Denmark),
and an Attune Bar. I just
discovered these bars at Wegman's a couple
weeks ago, and they are great. They've
got the same active cultures as yogurt
and actually taste good. I'm always hungry,
so these do the trick until it's actually
time for my next meal. 6. Green
apple-shaped leather coin purse made
by my friend Kelly of K.Autumn. 7. Notebooks from
my paper line (Nantaka
Joy). I always have one on me, by my
bed, at my desk, and in my bag. I find
I work best and stay sane by writing down
the things I have to do, random ideas I
have, and when taking notes in meetings
with clients. 8. A pen, my sunglasses,
Philadelphia bus schedule and tokens, and
my favorite barrette from Laurent
Oliver.
