WHAT'S IN HER BAG

Asya's essentials
asya palatova's essentials
Bag: Dominique Picquier. I travel a great deal to NYC for photo shoots and meetings, this gorgeous bag is large enough to hold my laptop, notebooks, and even a shawl when necessary. Orange is my favorite color.

1. Nuxe Lip Gloss: has SPF 15, tastes yummy, and looks bright and springy

2. A hand embroidered bag from Turkey: holds all necessary little things

3. Moleskin plain notebook: large enough for note taking at meetings and for polaroids from photo shoots. I decorated it with a 4x5 polaroid from one of my favorite photo shoots with photographers Gentl & Hyers.

4. Laptop: my powerbook is decorated with a wall decal butterfly. Even laptops can be cheerful

5. Aluminum Sigg water bottle: I love its rugged simplicity and light weight.

6. Shinzi Katoh planner: beautifully designed with sweet illustrations, and a pleasure to use every day

7. A wooden lucky charm: carved for me by a friend in French Guianna. I
am planning to cast it in porcelain and make pendants.

8. Moleskin pocket-sized sketchbook: this is where I keep my lists of movies and books that friends recommend. Also great for quick ceramic ideas sketching while I'm on the train to NYC.

9. Jai Kudo glasses and Persol sunglasses: I like simple, well-made things, both of these have held up through endless travels

10. Coach wallet: I bought this wallet ten years ago, and the leather looks better and better with each year. It is not huge, but is big enough to hold business cards, and all other necessities.
